

While the Free and Reduced forms help with student eligibility for school meals, they are more important for other school programs.

This includes filling out a Free and Reduced School Meals application. Michigan School Meals is a Michigan initiative however, all USDA guidelines and regulations are still in effect. This means all students will eat their breakfast and lunch at no cost. The Michigan government has funded the school meals for Michigan Public School students that are not covered by the Federal Reimbursements. Michigan School Meals will be the policy for the 2023-2024 School Year. Food & Nutrition Services is responsible for the preparation and service of Breakfast and/or Lunch to the students at Chippewa Valley Schools.
